Track Customer Referrals Without Complicated Software
Ask how new customers found the shop and connect referrals to useful outcomes.
By ElectroX Team
A local electronics store may grow through recommendations, but guesses about where customers come from can distort marketing decisions. Keep the question short and optional.
## Ask at a natural point
At checkout or intake, ask whether a friend, search, sign, or previous visit led them in. Record the source consistently without pressuring the customer.
## Measure quality
Count completed sales and repair jobs from each source, not just inquiries. Separate a recommendation for service from one for a low price.
## Thank appropriately
If you run a referral reward, explain the terms and record it as a real promotion. Avoid sharing one customer's purchase details with another.
ElectroX customer and transaction history can help a store see which referral sources lead to lasting relationships.
