How to Handle Split and Partial Payments
Customers often pay with more than one method or pay part now and part later. Record each payment so balances stay correct.

A customer might pay half in cash and half by wallet, or put down a deposit on a phone and pay the rest next week. These are normal sales, but they create errors when recorded as one simple payment.
Record each payment method
When a sale is split, enter each amount against the method used. This keeps cash in the drawer and money in each account aligned with your records.
Track the remaining balance
For a partial payment, record the amount received and leave the balance visible on the sale. Agree the due date with the customer and write it on the receipt. Do not hand over high value items on a deposit unless that is a deliberate store policy.
Close the balance properly
When the remaining amount is paid, record it against the original sale, not as a new one. ElectroX tracks payment status as paid, partial, or pending on each transaction, so outstanding amounts do not disappear from view.
