Record Customer Contact Preferences for Service Updates

Ask when and how a customer wants to hear from the shop.

A useful update can still be unwelcome if it reaches the wrong number or contains private repair details. Contact preferences make the service feel predictable.

## Confirm the channel

Ask whether a call, SMS, or messaging app is best and verify the number. Explain which updates the shop will send during the repair.

## Keep messages minimal

Use a ticket reference and a neutral status when others may see the phone. Avoid sharing fault details, prices, or personal data until identity is confirmed.

## Update the record

If contact fails, note the attempt and try the agreed backup channel. Ask the customer to confirm any changed details at pickup.

ElectroX customer and service records give staff a consistent place to retain the preference for the next visit.
