A Diagnostic Fee Policy for Phone Repairs

Make diagnostic charges clear before the device is opened.

A free inspection can be useful marketing, but complex fault finding takes time and tools. The customer should know what is included and when a fee applies.

## Define the boundary

Explain whether basic inspection is free, when deeper testing is charged, and whether the fee is credited toward repair. State any consent needed before opening the device.

## Record findings

Write the reported fault, tests performed, and recommended options. Separate confirmed findings from possible causes so the quote does not promise an uncertain result.

## Get agreement

Show the estimated price and time, then record approval or decline. Return the device in the agreed condition if the customer declines.

ElectroX service tickets and payment records can preserve the fee decision alongside the diagnosis and final work.
