When a Repair Estimate Changes: A Customer First Process

Obtain fresh approval before the final bill exceeds the accepted estimate.

A technician may find a second problem after opening a device. Continuing without a clear customer decision can damage trust even when the work was technically correct.

## Document the discovery

Record what changed, evidence from testing, and whether the original repair remains useful. Separate necessary work from optional improvements.

## Present options

Give the customer price, additional time, and the likely result of each option. Confirm the response in a message or job note before using new parts.

## Compare the final bill

At pickup, show the original quote, approved changes, and payments already taken. Resolve any unexplained line before requesting the balance.

ElectroX service and payment records support a transparent trail from first estimate to final invoice.
