How to Keep Repair Jobs Moving Between Team Members
A repair queue needs clear ownership, next actions, and customer updates at every handoff.

A job can stall even when everyone is busy. One person is waiting for a part, another assumes the customer has approved the estimate, and the service desk cannot say when the next update will come. The fix is a visible next action.
Make status meaningful
Use a small set of stages such as received, assessing, waiting for approval, waiting for parts, in progress, and ready for pickup. Record the reason when a job is blocked. A stage alone does not tell the next person what to do.
Name the owner of each step
Give each open job an owner and a date for its next review. At shift handover, focus on jobs whose next action is due, not every ticket in the system. Keep customer promises in the record instead of a private message thread.
Review aged work
Once a week, sort open jobs by age and ask what is preventing completion. ElectroX brings service, customer, and payment information into one workspace, so the desk can check the context before calling a customer or closing a job.
