Track Parts Used in Repairs Without Losing Stock Accuracy
A part used on the workbench should leave a trace in stock and in the customer's job record.

Small parts are easy to overlook. A technician takes a screen or cable from stock, finishes a repair, and the inventory count still shows the part as available. Repeated over time, this makes purchasing and service pricing unreliable.
Identify parts at the job level
Record the part name, variation, quantity, and cost estimate before work starts. Use catalog items for parts you keep in stock. Distinguish a part consumed during the repair from one ordered for a job but never used.
Record the movement promptly
Update stock when a part is actually used, returned to the shelf, or written off. Do not wait until the end of a busy week to reconstruct movement from memory. A simple daily review of open jobs and parts issued can catch omissions.
Include parts in the final explanation
Show the customer what was replaced and how it affected the price. ElectroX keeps products, inventory, service items, and transactions in the same environment. A team process that links these records is what makes the final count trustworthy.
