How to Receive Supplier Deliveries Without Stock Errors
Most stock differences start at the back door. A short receiving routine keeps the system and the shelf in agreement.

A delivery is the moment stock enters your records. If boxes are counted roughly, entered later from memory, or accepted without checking the invoice, every report after that inherits the mistake.
Check before you sign
Compare the delivery against the purchase order or the message where you agreed the order. Count units, confirm models and colors, and open sealed cartons when the value justifies it. Note damaged or missing items on the delivery slip before the driver leaves.
Enter the purchase the same day
Record the purchase while the invoice is in hand. Use the supplier's invoice number, the actual cost you paid, and the exact product variation. For phones and tablets, capture each IMEI or serial number as the unit is placed into stock rather than in a batch later.
Separate problems from stock
Keep damaged or disputed items apart until the supplier responds. In ElectroX, a purchase transaction is linked to a supplier record and updates stock for the products received, so the cost and quantity you see in reports start from an accurate entry.
