Reserve Repair Parts Before Promising a Completion Date

Check the exact part and its usable condition before committing to a repair date.

A part showing in stock may already be earmarked for another job or may be the wrong revision. That gap turns a reasonable estimate into an avoidable delay.

## Match compatibility

Confirm model, revision, color, and quality grade against the customer's device. Do not use a generic screen label when several variants fit differently.

## Hold the part

Link the intended part to the job or use a clearly labeled physical hold. Record who reserved it and when the hold expires if the customer has not approved the quote.

## Recheck before work

When the technician starts, confirm the part is still present and undamaged. If unavailable, update the customer before the expected completion time.

ElectroX product and service records help show which parts are available and which repair will consume them.
