Track Profit by Category, Not Just Total Sales
High sales do not always mean high profit. Category level margins show where your store really makes money.

Phones may bring in most of the revenue while accessories and repairs provide most of the profit. Without category level reports, a store can spend its effort and cash on the wrong products.
Compare revenue and margin
For each category, look at total sales and gross margin side by side. A category with modest sales but high margin may deserve more shelf space and attention.
Watch for hidden costs
Some categories carry more returns, warranty claims, or discounts. Include these when judging profitability.
Act on what you find
Adjust purchasing, display, and staff focus toward the categories that pay. ElectroX groups products by category and records cost and selling price, so you can compare categories with consistent numbers.
