Set Customer Credit Limits for Khata Sales

Decide who qualifies for credit, how much, and when another sale must pause.

Informal credit can help a trusted customer, but an unlimited balance makes cash planning difficult. A simple rule protects the relationship as well as the store.

## Define a limit

Set a maximum balance and due date based on payment history, not only familiarity. Record who can approve an exception and for how long.

## Check before selling

Look at current balance and overdue invoices before adding a new credit sale. Explain the amount due and expected payment date on the transaction.

## Review aging

Contact customers before balances become very old and record promises to pay. Stop extending credit when the agreed limit is repeatedly ignored.

ElectroX customer and payment records help the counter see dues before making a new khata commitment.
