Prevent Duplicate IMEI Entries at Receiving

Catch duplicate identifiers before a device reaches the shelf or checkout.

A duplicated IMEI can make two different boxes appear to be one phone. The earlier the error is caught, the easier it is to resolve with the supplier.

## Scan the device

Read the identifier from the device settings and the box where possible. For dual SIM phones, record IMEI1 and IMEI2 in the correct fields.

## Search before saving

Check for an existing active or sold record using the full identifier. A matching value may mean an accidental re-entry, a return, or a supplier problem.

## Quarantine conflicts

Set the physical unit aside until the invoice, device, and existing record agree. Never change an old sold record simply to clear a validation error.

ElectroX unique device records are most reliable when receiving staff verify identifiers before making stock available.
