Put the Correct IMEI on a Phone Sale Record

A phone receipt should identify the exact unit that left the shop.

The model and color alone cannot prove which device a customer bought. A wrong IMEI creates confusion for returns, service, and supplier claims.

## Scan before payment

Read the identifier from the physical phone or sealed box and match it to the selected available unit. For dual SIM models, follow a consistent rule for both IMEI fields.

## Verify the handover

Before the device leaves, compare the transaction's identifier with the packaging one more time. Correct a mistake through the proper sale workflow, not by editing a note later.

## Keep privacy in mind

Show only the identifiers your receipt and warranty policy need. Store the full device trail in the controlled record staff can search.

ElectroX links IMEI records to products and sales, giving the team a clear starting point when the customer returns.
